I keep seeing it shown as British on maps, cant find any texts corroborating it though. I've already asked reddit if they can give me info on this (Plonkers), they weren't helpful. So this is an opportunity for you guys to show them up.

Greenland was never part of the British empire, and the earliest record of severity over Greenland belongs to Denmark, where is remains today. the only time it left Denmark was in WWII, when it was occupied my the Americans even before the war started with them.
