It was quite large, but ultimately unfruitful. It is also arguably what began the Jews large diaspora.

Not arguably, my friend. It IS the cause of the Diaspora. The Jewish Revolts led to the destruction of Synagogues, the Second Temple, and the persecution of the Jews by the Romans.
Further revolts ultimately led to the banning of Jews from Jerusalem, and either out of fear or frustration many Jews fled to the further reaches of the Roman Empire. Many went to Alexandria in Egypt, but more went off to Eastern Europe (which at the time wasn't Roman). Definitely a key event in history.
