History Under the Influence
I just listened to the episode of Dan Carlin's Hardcore History 'History Under the Influence' and it was about different figures through history and how their use of drugs probably changed history, even though it's not very well documented. Like Napoleon the night before Waterloo, who used opium and ended up sleeping in a bit late, and possibly took more opium before the battle started, and how it probably or could have changed the outcome of the battle. Or how Churchill was a heavy drinker and probably alcoholic by today's standards. As well as Stalin going away for a week on a drinking binge during the start of Barbarossa. And at the end he speculated more things that could have been influenced by drugs, like Custards last battle. So this post is about other events that we can speculate would have been changed whether or not drugs played a role.
Side Note: I don't really know if this should belong in general history, other, or off topic.

Re: History Under the Influence
Hitler was heavily under the influence near the end of his life. If he hadn't been then he might of made slightly better military decisions.
