Historical Parallels
This thread is simple, there are countless parallel events and sequences in our past, hence the phrase "history always repeats itself." If you think of an interesting parallel of history such as one of the most commonly cited -Napoleon and Hitler both invaded Russia and both their armies got demolished by the winter- then post it here. Obviously there are gonna be trolly ones that make no sense or too much sense, but try to keep them to a minimum because they eventually get old and this forum is currently struggling enough as it is.

Re: Historical Parallels
To start it off here is one i randomly noticed- both England and China were once made up of 7 kingdoms, the Heptarchy (England) and the Warring States Period (China). In both cases the separate kingdoms were unified by the western most kingdom to create the forerunner of the future nation- Wessex under Alfred the Great united what would be the English people against the Danes, beginning the Kingdom of England. The Qin under Qin Shi Huang defeated the other Chinese predecessor states bringing all of China under his rule establishing the Empire of China.
