1912 US Presidential Election

I've always found the four-way US Presidential Election of 1912 to be a fascinating one to study. I was wondering who the forum would have picked, had they been giveen the chance to vote during that election.

Roosevelt.

Only Wilson, Roosevelt, and Taft ever stood a chance. That said, Roosevelt was definitely the most progressive of the three and would fit my views better. However, his split with Taft almost guarantees a Wilson victory.
My vote is for Roosevelt.

I'm a fan of Taft, but I know he hated being president, so although I'm a bit inclined to choose GOP, Teddy gets my vote, both because of his great qualities as a leader, and so that Taft can happily retire from the White House and go on to the Supreme Court.

I want to like Wilson. His "peace without victory", and his "league of nations", and his entire rhetoric were some of the most utopian promises I think a President has ever made. But I really can't take how much of a hypocritical scumbag he was. Teddy all the way,

That is hilarious, for me the choice is clear Theodore Roosevelt.

Definitely Roosevelt. While the Socialist party would be another good choice for me, they were definitely the weakest party out of the 4 and wouldn't be able to win any states.

I wonder who would have won the election had it taken place today. I think Taft might actually win it, because now instead of Taft and Roosevelt spliting votes, it would be between Roosevelt and Wilson.

Call me a "Commie", but I actually chose Debs. My reason for this being that Taft was far too corporatist for me, and while Roosevelt's economic progressivism and stance against monopolies is largely seen as a solution or counter to Taft's corporatism, Roosevelt is simply too Imperialistic and war-mongering for my tastes. At least Debs did truly care about workers AND was opposed to intervension in foreign affairs.
