Favorite music groups and artists?

My favorite is Metallica although I love a ton of bands.

I agree with you there. And I'd have to say that I also love rock music.

The Beatles and the Supremes. I love their harmonizing sounds.

I personally enjoy Sabaton and Two Steps From Hell, but outside of that, I enjoy most music

I'm a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to music, I'd say. Being a bit of a theather geek, I enjoy most contemporary musicals such as Heathers, Hamilton, The Book of Mormon, et cetera. I also enjoy some alternative bands like Mars Volta and Sevendust (edgy, I know). Besides that, there are a few musicians I like from various genres.

I agree with the enjoy all music, and I'd keep TSFH but I'd probably switch Sabaton with NF.

Having been in a marching band and being a history nut means I love marches and anthems, but I love classic rock as well. I also like the occasional hip hop or rap song.

I like nearly everything from trash metal to classical music.
I really like Slayer, Rammstein and Sabaton but also like Rap and Hip-Hop. That's generally what I listen to most of the time.

A very hard question, but my absolute favorites would probably be Amaranthe, Savlonic, Sabaton, and Meat Loaf.

My favorite band is Sabaton, second favorite is Two Steps From Hell. I don't have a third favorite, there it just splits into different songs I really like by various artists.

The Classics: The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Cream, The Clash (u don't say), Blind Melon and Alice In Chains
From Nowdays: King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, Ty Segall and Cage The Elephant.

I love the Beatles and lot's of old 60's/70's(and some 80's) Rock like CCR, Dire Straits or Jefferson airplane. For more contemporary music, I also enjoy Kasabian, and for less contemporary, Tchaikovsky. Besides that I'd be willing to listen to most music, and I enjoy the odd bit of Rebel Music (Wolfe Tones etc.) or Marches.

I'd have to say that some of my favorite bands are Sabaton (for it's history), Amon Amarth (for it's Viking badassness) and Alestorm (for it's fun). I'm actually looking for new history centered bands for me to listen to.

Iron Maiden, Tool, Ghost, and Dream Theatre. A lot more but these are the guys who inspire me.

I enjoy most music from pretty much any genre. I think the only one I hate in general is country music. Some I'm more picky than others (I only enjoy only a select few metal songs for example) but I can tolerate pretty much anything besides that.

I never understood the very common hatred for country music. I was raised listening to lots of country music as a child and I often feel most people who hate country music just hate it for the sake of it because it's a popular thing to hate.

Oh there's many reason why I don't like country music, actually

1. I don't like the instruments they use. Harmonicas (which are pretty common in country songs) feel like they're scratching my ears and I can't stand it in any songs that have it. I don't really enjoy the sounds banjos or acoustic guitars either.

2. It reminds me of the countryside (obviously, hence the name) which I am not a fan of. I much prefer urban over rural.

3. The lyrics are pretty boring and depressing most of the time, when you listen to it.

I guess the music you were raised with does have a big impact of what you enjoy. I was raised with a lot of music from the 80s, especially new wave, which is still one of my favorite genres of music. But make no mistake, I don't hate it because a lot of people do, I just genuinely don't like the feel of the music.

Fair enough, but from Reason 1, does that mean you also dislike Bob Dylan?

I don't really have a favorite artist or band as I usually just enjoy like 2 or 3 songs from an artist and don't know or don't enjoy the other songs as much. I guess in list of songs I enjoy from a specific group, I would say it would be Queen
