As far as the year is concerned, I think it should be the 1400's by now since European colonization is kicking off and Europe needs guns to subjugate native peoples really quickly, and matchlock guns (first gun to make you not have to hold a burning wick to a hole) came to be in the 1400's. Therefore I say just everyone's infantry/pikemen convert to musketmen, and catapults/trebuchet convert to cannons to avoid people making military inventory posts in a panicked flurry. If needed, I will put the approx year in every new map update.

So, has Europe just developed firearms early or something? Or is there some other reason they have been able to subjugate natives rapidly without the superior firepower of guns (only bringing this up because there is a solid correlation between guns and colonization)
