Why Didn't the Germans make peace with the French in WW1?
If the Germans could have made some kind of armistice with the French and not invade Belgium, They could have focused their units on the Eastern Front kicked Russia and the Serbs out of the war, then they could put their units back on the Western Front.

France was in a defensive treaty with Russia so the French would have gone to war with Germany no matter what. Even if Germany didn't go to war with France, the French would have declared war on Germany. If Germany made a treaty with France where they would not go to war, the French would be violating a treaty.

Even if Germany actually sent a peace agreement to France, there was no way France would accept it. France wanted one thing and one thing only: Take back Alsace-Lorraine. They wouldn't accept anything else short of that, and there's no way Germany would get give it to them, as it would harm them economically and cause massive humiliation both domestically and internationally.
