Best European flags? (Current or Historical)

The flag of Spain along with its shield is precious, especially with the four quarters, symbols of the ancient kingdoms of Castile, Leon, Aragon and Navarre

Prussia no doubt.

I enjoy the flags of the Kingdom of Two Sicilies, Austro-Hungarian Empire, Czech Republic/Czechoslovakia, the Teutonic Order, and the North German Confederation- all not too simplistic, yet not too cluttered.

I can't decide between the Soviet flag from the 1924-1936 or the one from 1936-1955. Either one is gorgeous imo.

I hate it. It's overcrowded, hard to recognize from a distance, and was probably really expensive and difficult to make when it was originally used. It's kind of like a "transitioning stage" between heraldic and modern flags, and it honestly doesn't compete with either of those groups.



THIS beauty on the other hand...

One that I feel is often overlooked is that of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. It is so ornate, something that many Europeans tried and failed to achieve. Plus, it has cool spikes on the end.

The modern flag of Nepal is always fun as well because it is so different from everywhere else.

Nepal isn't in Europe but it's a very unique flag. And I agree, the PLC had a very cool looking flag.

I'm personally extremely fond of the "Irish Republic" flag of 1916, both because of the lovely font, and the historical significance. Along with that, I love the current Tricolour, and I also like the Starry Plough and the 4 provincial flags (Not my avatar).

I think the Spanish Cross of Burgundy looks great.

I've always liked the Scandinavian flags. Norwegian and Icelandic in special. But the flag from Estonia has my favorite color combination. So, the Estonia-Scandinavian flag (just as proposed one) looks awesome to me!
