This is the last version of the ww3 map I post before I go sleeping.
Updates:
-France has his French Guinea in team 1
-Colombia is likely to join team 1 but there are some team 2 insurgents like the ELN in Colombia so that is why I putted a explosion sign in the nation. Also the south Sahara wants to be independent from Morocco so it joins team 2. A next update of the map may will come tomorrow.

Great! Is the explosion thing for all insurgencies or just ones supporting a team? If it's the previous, shouldn't you add an explosion in Afghanistan, as well?

That is a pretty good question. It may could be that a very bad accident happens like one of North Korea's missiles hitting south Korean territory. Or maybe Russia invades one east European country too much like Estonia because it is a NATO member. It could also be that the Syrian civil war becomes even more hot and triggers of a large scale conflict.

There are several possibilities...

Firstly, this could begin with the mounting tension in the South China Sea spilling over into all-out war. The West would join after Taiwan or the Philippines gets involved (which would be soon)

This could also be a result of a personal favorite scenario of mine- with all of the ethnic tension within Kosovo, a northern Serbian rebel movement begins, however, Albania rushes to assist. Serbia backs the rebels, however, only with arms and funding. Also make Lybia green, or at least partially. They have a civil war aswell. The governemnt is backed by Russia, the saudis and some NATO members

Well they are both in NAFTA but the relations between the US and Mexico are pretty harmed because of Donald Trumps wall talk.

well according to Wikipedia the relations actually improved because they have a common enemy. Here is a Wikipedia article:

Seems no one has pointed it out yet, but Ireland is a Neutral country, and I doubt that we would get involved in a world war where we have no place in it as a superpower, and no direct reason to fight it. Because of this, I'd suggest adding Ireland to white, unless this alternate history pulls a Churchill and offers NI in return for Irish Cooperation.

Well you have got a point so I am going to make it probably team 1 (light blue) because it still in the EU and the EU is working much together with Nato. Thanks for your tip.

wanted to point out something else really quick. I think you should make Austria probably team 1, since they're not a part of Nato just as Australia, New Zealand and Macedonia
